THE CONDITIONS OF YOUR JILBAAB O MUSLIM WOMEN! WITH THEIR INDEPENDENT EVIDENCES, Episode 5

CONTINUATION OF THE CONDITIONS OF JILBAAB WITH EVIDENCES IN QUR'AN AND SUNNAH.

  • IT SHOULD NOT BE AN ADORNMENT IN AND OF ITSELF.

This makes it obvious that all types of adornment like, stones, flowers and other attractive adornments shouldn't be attached to that Jilbaab. It must be a plain one. May Allah save us because Allah commands that the adornment should be covered so it's extremely absurd if the Jilbaab itself is the adornment that they're ordered to cover!.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"and not to show off their adornment" [al-Noor 24:31].

The general meaning of this phrase includes the outer garment, because if it is decorated it will attract men's attention to her. This is supported by the aayah in Soorat al-Ahzaab (interpretation of the meaning):

"And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance" [al-Ahzaab 33:33].

Ibn Hajar said: Displaying oneself means: For a women to display among her adornments and her beauties and what must be covered which will calls men's attention end quote from (Fatihul Baaree).

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "There are three, do not ask me about them: a man who leaves the Jamaaah, disobeys his leader and dies disobedient; a female or male slave who runs away then dies; and a woman whose husband is absent and left her with everything she needs, and after he left she made a wanton display of herself. Do not ask about them." (Narrated by al-Haakim, 1/119; Ahmad, 6/19; from the hadeeth of Faddaalah bint Ubayd. Its isnaad is saheeh and it is in al-Adab al-Mufrad).

I say: What does it mean by do not ask me about them in this hadeeth? Sheikh Al-Albaanee answered. He said: Because they're among the losers! (Jilbaabul Mar'ah page 119).

Sheikh Al-albaanee said: And the aim behind the legitimacy of Jilbaab is to cover the woman's adornment so it's obviously ridiculous as seen if the Jilbaab itself is adornment!..... (End quote from Jilbaabul Mar'ah page 120).

ATTENTION PLEASE: Wearing other colours besides white and black doesn't fall under displaying oneself. Hence Sheikh Muhammad Nâsirud-deen Al-albaanee said:  And you should know that, It's not in anyway part of (the prohibited) adornments for the garment with which a woman covered herself to be coloured with what besides black or white as some adhering Muslim think..... And He mentioned two reasons and five evidences to corroborate this view among what he mentioned (RahimahuLlâhu) are, the hadeeth of Ibrahim An-Nakha'ee that he, 'Alqamah and Aswad did enter upon the wives of the prophet and he'd see them putting on a red blanket.

Qaasim Bn Muhammad Bn Abi Bakr Siddeeq said that: 'Aisha did wear a yellowed  garment whilst she's on Ihram.
