THE CONDITIONS OF YOUR JILBAAB O MUSLIM WOMEN! WITH THEIR INDEPENDENT EVIDENCES, Episode 4

THE CONDITIONS OF JILBAAB WITH THEIR EVIDENCES IN QUR'AN AND SUNNAH.

Here are the conditions of the recommended Jilbaab to evaluate your Jilbaab perhaps it's correct or not WaLlâhul Musta'an:_

  1. IT SHOULD COVER ALL THE BODY APART FROM WHATEVER HAS BEEN EXEMPTED (LIKE FACE AND PALM AS SAID BY PART OF THE SCHOLARS).

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

It's obvious in this Qur'anic verse that, it is obligatory to cover all of a woman's beauty and adornments and not to display any part of that before non-mahram men (strangers) except for whatever appears unintentionally or has been exempted.

Al-Haafiz ibn Katheer said in his Tafseer: This means that they should not display any part of their adornment to non-mahrams, apart from that which it is impossible to conceal. Ibn Masood said: such as the cloak and robe, i.e., what the women of the Arabs used to wear, an outer garment which covered whatever the woman was wearing, except for whatever appeared from beneath the outer garment. There is no sin on a woman with regard to this because it is impossible to conceal it.

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: Asma, daughter of AbuBakr, entered upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) wearing thin clothes. The Messenger of Allah turned his attention from her. He said: O Asma', when a woman reaches the age of menstruation, it does not suit her that she displays her parts of body except this and this, and he pointed to his face and palms.

_Abu Dawud (the recorder of the hadeeth) said: This is a mursal tradition (i.e. the narrator who transmitted it from 'Aishah is missing) Khalid b. Duraik did not see 'Aishah. Sunan Abi Da'ud Book: 34, Hadith: 4104 (Sahīh By Sheikh Al-albaanee with the help of another chain of transmission).

Case: What does it mean by palms and face that might not be covered here?.

Sheikh Al-albaanee said: I said: "and what's meant by "palms" here are  the palms of the hands to the wrists. And face, is from the root of the hair of the head to the chin and from the earlobe to the earlobe. This is what the scholars said unlike the contemporaries and refutation to them is coming at the end of this first condition if Allah The Most High wishes (end quote from Jilbaab Al-Mar'ah page 41).

I said: You'd see that Jilbaab must be a single garment (not two) that comes direct from head to where? Good to toes (as explained in the second episode of this treatise) whatever besides this is not a jilbaab Islamically.

To be continued.........
